Our Community

Who we are....

Nearly 300 families belong to the Association and over 20 residents are actively involved either as a neighborhood director or as an officer of the Association. Our subdivision is divided into 18 districts, each served by a volunteer director.

Primary Objectives...

The Association has four primary objectives:

1) To offer social events for both youth and adults for the purpose of bringing us closer together as a neighborhood community.

2) To provide an avenue of communication with the neighborhood newsletter.

3) To provide a liaison with law enforcement and city agencies.

4) To provide a security patrol for the area on a periodic basis to maintain the peace and security of our neighborhood.

History...
In August of 1984, Stony Brook was annexed into the Omaha corporate city limits. At that time, the Omaha City Council paid close attention to our input with regard to police protection requirements, zoning, area maintenance of city owned property and other city provided services.

Meetings...

Our monthly meetings are held on the third Monday of each month, August thru May, in the Club room of the Stony Brook Hy-Vee at 7:00 pm. Most meetings last one hour. All are welcome to join us!
